Our Mission
To provide financial assistance to families with children afflicted by vascular anomalies and to provide or fund research directly related to understanding and treating vascular birthmarks.
The Waner Foundation helps children and adults with facial disfigurement caused by congenital vascular anomalies restore their confidence.
These treatments may be very costly and are not covered by all insurances. Many times, the surgery is considered cosmetic.
Dr. Milton Waner and Dr. Teresa O are advocates for early intervention for people with congenital vascular anomalies.

Negalem had a vascular malformation, where blood vessels snarl like overgrown vines.
It became so large that doctors worried it could suffocate Negalem or that swallowing would become impossible. But in June 2021, Dr. Waner and Dr. O gave Negalem and her family hope for her future by successfully removing the vascular malformation during a challenging 12-hour surgery.
